Meet the Owners: Josie & Mike HofschulteIn July 2026, Zumbrota locals Josie and Mike Hofschulte purchased The Phenomenal Edit (formerly a long-standing staple of downtown Zumbrota). They chose to keep "Phenomenal" to honor the store's rich history and wonderful customers, while adding "Edit" as a nod to the hard work their team does curating and prepping consigned pieces every single day—ensuring shoppers never have to dig too deep to find something great.
Mike was born and raised in the area, and Josie moved to the community in 2000 before making Zumbrota her permanent home in 2019.
At its core, everything we do here centers around three pillars: Community, Connections, and Creativity.
- Community: We love to give back. We work closely with local groups—including schools, churches, and women's and family shelters—to ensure that clothing items that aren't quite the right fit for our racks find a second life helping those who need them most. We are always looking for new ways to support our neighbors.
- Connections: For us, connection is about networking with our fellow downtown businesses, but more importantly, it's about meeting people right where they are. We strive to provide a warm, welcoming, and safe space for everyone who walks through our doors.
- Creativity: We believe in helping people enjoy and feel free in their own personal style, whatever that looks like for them. We enjoy using our creativity daily!
